My name is Curt D’Accio. I’m a Private Investigator and a Zero, meaning the only thing I can shift is the gears in my sporty two-seater. Russell Chandler hired me to track his wayward half-sister down and bring her back to Omaha. For company business he said. Him being a wolf shifter, I figured he needed her backing and shares to go for some corporate throats. Figuratively, I assumed.
After chasing her boat wake for weeks, I found her. I found love. Then I lost both.
I barely survived the ambush outside our hotel. Who attacked us? Why? The police are stymied: no motive, no leads, no suspects. No matter. My adversary may be cunning but I’m tenacious. I will find the answers to my questions. I will hunt down her killer if it is the last thing I ever do.
